Emma Reijnen

I combine hockey with my Dentistry studies. Both are my passion! I have been playing hockey at Hockey Club Den Bosch since I was a teenager. That's why I think it's great to be able to play for the first women's team. This also applies to my younger sister, Babs. I also play hockey for the Dutch team. I have already been to Argentina, Spain and India with Oranje. A great experience.
My position at both Den Bosch and the Dutch team is midfield. Centrally, both offensively and defensively, but also positional play and tactics.

About

Name: Emma Reijnen

Date of birth:

Country: The Netherlands

Current club: HC Den Bosch

Field position: Midfielder

What career milestone are you most proud of?

I think it is very special that I have already won some great prizes with my sister. This year at Den Bosch was great. Together we became first in the group, won the Gold cup, EHL and finally Dutch champion. And we won EK gold togheter. Year before I won WK gold in under 21 what was also very special.

What’s the ultimate hockey goal you’re chasing?

That's a no-brainer! Gold at the Olympic Games!

Why do you play with Princess?

I want to play hockey with the stick that suits me best. I like to have control of the ball quickly, to move the game quickly, to be strong both offensively and defensively.
And of course my teammate Matla plays with Princess!
